The parallel between Dick Cheney and Ted Kennedy...
When Teddy ran off the bridge with Mary Jo Kopecne, he never reported it until the next day. He was partying and drinking with a woman not his wife. It was an "accident". The young lady died in the accident. Teddy's career was never the same. Even today, the right-wing brings this up at every opportunity.

Dick Cheney "accidentally" shoots a fellow hunter and fails to report it for 18 hours. We don't know if he was drinking. It is doubtful that he was "partying". Luckily, his victim has not died. But to hear the right-wing talk about this matter, it is of no significance. They fail to see any parallels.

1. Because Harry is still alive.
Yet, you and I know that if Harry died, the spin would be "Well, he was 78 years old; he could've dropped dead anytime."

Both incidents are, IMHO, reprehensible in that they just goes to show that when you're wealthy with clout, you have ways of getting around the normal channels of law.

The BIG difference is that Chap. has, does and will continue to hound Sen. Kennedy.

But there are other examples where the participants were spared the humiliation:

Laura Bush
Joe Scarborough
The Bin Laden Family
Union Carbide

2. If one just listened to this Armstrong woman, Harry was fine; just
'peppered'(and by the way, Harry's fault), alert and talking---fine and dandy. Then, you find out that he was air-lifted, shot in the face and neck, and in ICU. I wouldn't say Harry is in that great of shape---and once again-- a spin, delay and cover-up by Bush/Cheney.

3. What is needed is a little illicit sex injected in this story
and I think it is there. The reporters haven't found it yet.

4. Maybe he was showing the female hunter the proper way to hold gun?
And it accidentally went off?? Lynn will put the details in her next steamy novel.
