1. and he's coming out stong pro-Hackett.
Schultz says there are allegations a guy named something Lucas, who is working for Brown had been running a whisper campaign against Hackett trying to tie him to war crimes behind his back.

Ed calls it swiftboating, and he's calling on any Dem leaders who want to refute that info to call in and do so.

The plot thickens.....

2. Remember What Randi Says About Schultzzzzzz....
That he's not a Democrat, but he plays one on the radio.

And allowing Hackett to drive a wedge into the party couldn't be making Karl Rove any happier.

Bravo, putz!

3. So, if we disagree with Randi we aren't real Democrats?
Edited on Tue Feb-14-06 04:02 PM by spuddonna
ETA: Specifically on this point, I mean...

If I feel that Ed is a centrist Dem, instead of a 'fake' Dem like Randi has stated apparently, does that mean I'm not a 'real' Democrat? And I guess I should figure out what the definition of a 'real' democrat is according to Randi...

5. I like Rhandi's show and Ed's show. They both are
doing good things. If you ever need to reach an audience of a few million it's much quicker and easier to get on Ed' show than on Rhandi's.

Rhandi screens and also puts Republicans to the head of the line so she can tear them a new one on air.

Ed puts all callers on in order of their call, doesn't inquire what you are planning on talking about, and if they are a Repo jerk, he tears them a new one also.

I don't usually follow celebrity spats.

8. Maybe you should call in? The
anti Hackett side hasn't been phoning. Just think of the opportunity, a couple of million listeners....

I am interested in hearing if there is anything to the "swift boating" allegations or if it's just a bunch of lip flapping.

Knowledge is power....

9. That is true - knowledge is power
such a shame that Ohio might be stuck with a proven progressive democrat

11. well at least you favor having a benevolent dictatorship
unlike those republicans who want a mean dictatorship.

somehow democracy got left by the side of the road.

12. Hey, I like Brown. But IF liking Brown means
I have to overlook alleged swift boating of a primary opponent then I'm just glad I don't vote in Ohio.

I don't truly have a dog in this fight. I don't really care who wins the Demo nomination for US Senator in Ohio. I believe either candidate could have beat DeWhine. If I had to vote on the two, I'd probably vote for Brown, because he has a good long progressive record.

I do care about the process and I do think this has the potential to be a major PR debacle for Dems everywhere.

If the swift-boating allegations are bogus they need to be addressed quick. If they are true they need to be addressed quick.

13. Actually to toss a brick into all of this - DIEBOLD
I mean, I'm thinking all of this time wasted today is moot because of Diebold. DSCC probably wanted to stick with the stronger candidate because that candidate will need a massive lead going into the final election in order to overcome diebold

4. 'cheney got a gun, everybody is on the run'

that was a great song at break.

as far as who we listen to: i can listen to Steph Miller, al franken, Randi, Malloy, Bobby K Jr. and Big Ed Schultz without it tying up my thought control, i'm a liberal...my consciousness is widespread open.

7. I'll second that...
I can agree and disagree with all of them. I love Malloy, Stephanie, I like Thom Hartmann when I'm in a 'thoughtful' mood...

Randi and Malloy get me juiced because they can smack down a freeper with class and style...

Ed Shultz I don't listen to as often - just a bad time of day - but he's often got great interviews with many high-profile Dems...
