Cheney must address the American people. |
|
Cheney has a responsibility to come before the American people and tell us, in his own words, how he happened to shoot a man in the face with a shotgun, causing that man to spend several days in intensive care and to have a heart attack. I want to hear his version of the story firsthand. Is he willing to take responsibility for his actions, to face the Texas justice system in the event that Whittington dies or suffers permanent/debilitating effects from his wounds? At the very least, will Cheney pay for Whittington's medical care? If not, why not? I want to hear what he has to say--and I think the media should demand a full, immediate and public accounting.

9/11 changed everything. Vice President's are now allowed to shoot whomever whenever however and have no questions asked until at least the next day. Then, forget about it. Cheney will be back to inform us we are all going to die soon if we don't give them more power-even though they already have it-because 9/11 changed everything. Never has such a smart country gotten itself so hosed.

5. Yes, I think this is the line that should be taken |
|
Not that I really want to hear him, mind you. I just think when need to get the media to demand Cheney tell his account. Maybe he will cry or something. That would be cool.

6. They did it to Clinton. |

Basically forced him to go on TV and lie about Monica. I want to get Cheney on the record, in person, in front of a national audience. He owes it to the American people, to Harry Whittington and to Whittington's family. Dammit.

The media could demand a full accounting, but he won't play by rules, any rules at all.

I'm sure he's been advised to keep his mouth shut in case of future legal action. I don't want to hear him spin his lies anyway.
