Wesley Clark and Fox News question |
|
I've never seen Wesley Clark on Fox News.
To people who have: is he making the Democrats look good?

because the Democratic voice is being heard by people who only listen to FAUX. He is smart and very articulate and can run circles around Hannity and any other wing nut who tries to trip him up with Rush Limbaugh like talking points. He continually makes them look petty and foolish.

2. He made a great decision IMO... |
|
To get exposure on a channel where people who'd otherwise never hear of him could be exposed to him. He's strong on military matters and that's what Repubs. need in a presidential candidate. Maybe when '08 comes around, Clark will look good to these Faux viewers, especially if the Repubs. elect some far RW crazy.

3. I'd suggest going to the Wesley Clark Supporters Group. |
|
Many appearances are posted there and in the threads are links to downloads of his appearances. It is best to see them and judge for yourself.

and other ones as well, if you click on this link. http://securingamerica.com/taxonomy/term/23From what I've been hearing, he seems to be getting through to some of the FAUX viewers.

6. I was thrilled to hear he was on fox. |

I thought it would be a great opportunity for my boosh-lovin' mother to see & hear a level headed person for a change -- one who's articulate, & treats other courteously & a progressive one at that. I asked her about him & she told me she turns the volume down when he's on. "He's a turncoat," she said. I asked her to explain, but like a typical puke, she wouldn't. Just stated again that he's a turncoat. I have no idea why she thinks that. Grrrr.... I'm about to write this woman off. I wonder if she will ever see the light.

9. She's probably bought into the "he was a Republican" propaganda. |
|
You have my deepest sympathies having a Bush loving mother. I can't even imagine what that must be like.:(

no matter how well he represents himself, it legitimizes Faux and everything else they do. Howard Dean said it best. Faux is the propaganda arm of the Republican Party. Let us not forget that, ever!!!!

8. I don't watch Faux, and won't, even for a real Dem like Clark ....... |
|
That said, the clips I've seen here all seen to have him speaking about foreign policy and military issues. And that's fine. He does a terrific job of slapping down the shills, jesters, clowns, asshats, and assorted hangers on and wannabes that people the anchor chairs at Faux. (The clip of chickenshit/chickenhawk Hannity lecturing him on military tactics was a hoot!)
But I've never seen him turn a conversation to domestic or populist issues. I know what his positions were during the 04 primaries and I know he was as far to the left as any of the serious and credible candidates, except maybe Kucinich. I hope he doesn't allow himself to be percieved as a one trick pony. In my view, he's not. In my view he is at least as good as anyone says he is. But it is a matter of perception, and as I see it, he's being percieved as a former general. And while that's an excellent credential, I think he's much more than that. I hope the clowns who watch Faux regularly see that. I fear they don't.

on Foreign policy and National Security issues RIGHT NOW (and on Fox)!
Wes Clark is not currently running for President, so the domestic stuff is not required while he's on Fox (he does talk domestic issues in his speeches to Democrats..a he did in his Real SOTU Address last month).
I'm glad that Wes Clark is filling the void that needs to be filled at the moment instead of attempting to run for President in 2006....by diverting his expertise over to Domestic issues.
There will be time for that....but right now, there is a war on, and another brewing. Wes Clark is doing the most that he can do to help this Democratic party.....being that he is only one man. Wish he could be cloned, appeared on all of the Noise machine stations, but he can't.

Anyone else on that channel. Including all the Democrats. (All 2 of them) When we debates he debates with class and doesn't just attack people. Refreshing.
