I think this puts to rest Hannity's, Limbaugh's, et al's assertion that the activities at Abu Ghraib were harmless pranks.

1. Burnings...

...brandings, removing teeth without anesthetic. These pictures make the initial batch look mild in comparison. I can see why the Administration wants to suppress them. They claim these are isolated incidents, but we've heard too many tales, from too many different places, for that to be the case. There's a culture being pushed upon our military that is horrid.

I usually am able to stomach the horrors of mankind in photographs, but I just cannot bring myself to do this time.

And only the low level soldiers are getting jail time. The direct leadership of this mess needs to be prosecuted by the Hague, we have seen that the US military cannot prosecute themselves.

I usually try to avoid Nazi analogies, but looking at those pictures reminded me of the concentration camps.
