I am not accusing the totality of DU administration of this but I am sincerely questioning a post that centered around the Cheney shooting which led to a joke about Clinton "shooting" from his "meat holster" which ended up in the closing of the post with the reason being that it was inappropriate.

I am a life long liberal progressive and will continue to be, but if the powers that be are going to close out a forum cause we got funny with Clinton and a lil lewd, you have to be kidding me.

I would support the case if the board, as a totality, strayed from lewdness such as cursing, sexual jokes etc and demanded it from it's board members, but that simply is NOT the case.

The lewdness, sexual satire, double meanings, play on words is what makes this site intelligent, witty and down right fun. I was sadly disheartened by the choice to close a post that had great promise of good light hearted humor about Clinton's pecker, his jism and his sploogage on Monica's dress.

Please reconsider for the following reason. Let us celebrate the fact that what garnered the REPUBLICAN'S attention while Clinton was in office was not his foreign or domestic policy but, rather, his WILLY (no pun intended)

Juxtapose that with the outright CRIMINAL behavior of the Bush administration it comes across as totally ludicrous and highlights the bullshit of that which is BUSH.

So let us celebrate our dear Bill's foray into adult consensual sex with an intern to demonstrate that the Bush crime family is that much more dangerous than anything to cum out of Clinton's John Thomas.

Lastly, let us not render ourselves deaf to the inconsistencies, hypocrisies and the theater bizarre that occurs in our own party.

Censorship is never good....and THAT was ALL they could come up with! Nothing like using our nations biggest crisis to lie us into Iraq; or Abramoffgate; or Quailgate, just to name three out of hundreds!!

There are youngsters here. We push a lot of buttons, why would we want to push the sex button too? If you want to talk dirty, there are websites all over the internets special made for that.

I think the mods do a great job and deserve some credit for their ability to herd cats.

Hey, I'm as game as the next guy for that kind of stuff, but this isn't the place. I want political discussion and news... if I wanted sex, flirtation and witty sexual satire, I'd go elsewhere.
