You know, I like seeing John Edward's picture on DU.
I wasn't an Edwards supporter in the primary, but I've grown to like the guy.

I thought he was pretty steely eyed staring down Cheney in the VP debates.

I say this while still hoping that President-elected Gore will someday be seated in the office he won.

1. I'm in the same boat.
I didn't really care for him initially, but I do now. I'd vote for him if he got on a ticket.

We now see he was lucky he wasn't shot.......or maybe tasered by Elmer Fudd there. Yeah, definitely tasered....easier than a shotgun to get in the building.

5. Somehow I think Mr. Edwards is not the kind of dumb ass who would
place himself in a position to be shot by VP Fudd.

8. I don't think so either.......but the debates were in a public setting
and if they can get doofus into his with a huge transmitter on his back for Karl to feed him the answers, then Cheney could have gotten in a taser.

And for what it's worth, I was kidding. :)

12. I know you were kidding.
With VP Fudd though, there is no such thing as too ridiculous.

16. This is quite true
I wonder if there is something in the works to get the national anthem changed to the music from Star Wars when Darth Vader is coming. I swear every time I see Cheney I hear the music for the Evil Empire.....

Maybe it's just me

7. I thought Edwards kicked Crashcart's a$$ up and down...
in those debates. I thought he ripped Satan's Cyborg to shreds. I could never understand how ANYONE thought any different. Cheney lied through his sneering teeth the whole time, just like he always does. Edwards topped him at every moment--and let's face it, he had the tougher debate opponent, because Crashcart is the REAL President of the United States.

I can only hope that Edwards will run again for either Pres or VP someday. He and Big Al are my two favorite Democrats, bar none.

3. His lovely wife was pretty good at staring down Cheney too
Loved it when she pointed out, despite the V.P. saying he and Edward had never met, that they sat together at a prayer breakfast once. Maybe Cheney had a little 'eye opener' before the event and mistook John Edward for some sort of bird or something?

 to the lovely and forthright Mrs Edward! Too cool for Cheney!

4. The man has more integrity and class
than the total found in every elected republican in the country. republicans are the party of evil, supported by the ignorant.

Senator Edwards was not my first choice but I would vote for him against any republican for any office.

Hell her and John would make the greatest president and 1st lady or Al and Tippy
for pres and John and liz for 2nd couple.I think they are so intelligent and have the people of this country as their main concern. They restore truth and democracy to the usa

13. I'm Behind Him One Hundred Percetn....
While I could give you many "reasonal" reasons, there's just more to it than that!

I've said it many times before here, as a liberal I'm surprised at just how MUCH I like him! I really really do feel a GREAT deal of RESPECT for him.

With what is going on now, he looks magnificent! And oh, how I wish he was up there now... these criminals up there are more than SCARY! I just can't believe WE are so UNABLE to stop this complete take-over of America and what it used to be!!!
