Friday's cartoon - The Designated Scapegoat
So now we know the game plan by Team Bush. Brownie gets booted and ostracized, while Chertoff gets lectured and blessed. Weren't Bush and Chertoff both the guys who were on vacation when Katrina hit?

8. Hell, I'm surprised they didn't give Brownie one, straight off the bat.

At least, before he started talking, that is. He's every inch a medal-winner in the kind of competence book they keep.

7. K&R!
Typical of your work. Another bull's eye! Giving them the black eye. Nicely done!

6. I love it...
Notice, that while the administration finds it convenient to use Brown as a scapegoat, no right-wingers will point out that one of Bush's many failings has been appointing unqualified people to important jobs. They use appointments to reward donors, or friends of donors, then easily sacrifice them when they can't perform their job duties. This is the fault of the one who made the appointment...Bush.

11. Yes, the administration acts like Brown was in charge of himself.
They handed him the blame, then made him walk the plank.

9. Don't forget Lucky Lewis Lucke
He's the brother in law of the third hunter, Pam Willeford. Also the head of USAID in Iraq, in control of billions of dollars. Sounds like another "heckuva job" award winner to me.
