2. Really? I can understand why Fox would invite Bayh. Hand wringing
and conciliation, I'll bet, is all we will get from him...but I'm anxious to here what DU'ers who watch will report.

I don't watch Fox...never have and never will. But, I hope he finally finds a spine. Those of us who have watched him for years have not seen him sitting up in his chair...

4. I never turn my back on the enemy! ;)
Bayh is smart to appear on Fox. I hate the channel but I watch it and the climate is changing there. Middle and moderate Republicans are very disastisfied with the Bush administration and are hungary for a new leader. Bayh is it. Bayh can take Ohio in a New York minute and likely Tennesee.

As an American I don't want a president who ONLY represents LIBERAL or CONSERVATIVE Americans. My preference is for an ethical candidate that has the hutspa to represent ALL of America. I feel Bayh is it.

6. He's going to say the shooting was no big deal
He's going to say he's satisfied with the way Cheney handled it. He's going to say we shouldn't make a big deal out of the domestic spying, and might even call it "spying on tare" or whatever the freep code word is. That's my prediction.

7. You were absolutely right...
He said it wasn't worthy of discussion (Cheeney) and disagreed with Nancy Pelosi. Also...said that something to the effect that the Patriot Act filibuster failed and this shows that "most Democrats" want a strong national security. Not kidding.

8. Evan Bayh: Senator Non-Answer
He's the type of person that I would hate to stand in line behind at a fast food restaurant, because he can't ever decide what he wants. You know the type: he checks out what everyone else is ordering, then half says something, then depending on the look on the clerk's face, will change his mind and order something else, then if it suddenly occurs to him that folks around him have a "eeew, that's groase" look on their faces, he'll change his mind again.

Ever follow him on a speaking tour? Bayh's positions on issues change depending on the audience.

He's the poster boy for an empty suit with a prettty face, riding thru life on his daddy's name because he can't get a real job on his own. Just like Chimpy. And it would be a horrible mistake for this party to think he'd be a 'good candidate' or a 'true Democrat' if elected (Goddess forbid!) President.

11. I second the comments of my esteemed Hoosier, hippiechick
Bayh is as much of an empty suit as Bush was as governor. Like Bush, Bayh looks better the farther one travels from Indiana.

15. So he finally founds some issues he isn't too chickenshit to address?
Then again, maybe they'll start talking about global trade and the war in Iraq.
