Would the press be handling the situation any differently? Would they be taking their cues from the right wing pundits, and framing the entire story exactly as the right wingers would want them to? What would the NRA and the right wingers in the gun club be doing? Wouldn't they be going on ad naseum about how irresponsible Democrats are, and that we couldn't possibly make good leaders because of actions like this?

In fact, the case would be investgated for years and years, until finally the investigators would learn that the bullet wasn't made in the USA, and therefore Kerry/Gore/Clinton took up foreign arms against a US citizen. They'd then call that treason, impeach, and hang the guilty party.

Just a little -- just enough to qualify as a shooting. Maybe an aide whose work needs a little improvement.

The only reason to arrange this, of course, is to see how the wingnuts would react. Right now, they figure a Republican shooting someone is less interesting and punishable than a Democrat getting some skull.

But if the gun were in the other hands, I bet they would find 10,000 reasons to be outraged.

How do I know this? Because they've already gone apoplectic over travel planning, gravesites, billing records, a suicide and scores of other incidents much less serious than shooting someone is.

Think what the Republicans could do if Democrats were HALF as guilty of malfeasances as Repukes are.

9. Then there was the time Kerry went hunting without safety glasses

and every right wing nut on the planet went "ballistic" about how irresponsible he was. Even the right wingers in DU's gun forum pulled the same old bullsh*t. I did a simple google search and found about 3 photos of Jr. shooting without any eye protection, and another photo of GHWB doing the same. Obviously, everybody had the same access to those photos that I did, but none of the people that bashed Kerry took the same opportunity to bash Bush Jr.

of killing him and many, many investigations because of a suicide and the Clinton's were offered no sympathy that their close friend had committed suicide and you wouldn't even have know Mr. Foster had a family - they were totally ignored.
