You know the 35-40% who still adore Bush would have been
Torrie's in the revolutionary days....

These were the people who helped the British cause gosh darn it... That King George is one straight shootin' fella....

They would have been spreading rumors that Washington really didn't cross the Delaware, he hired stand ins while he sat safely on the sideline getting a BJ from Betsy Ross...

And that Benedict Arnold was a patriot in the true sense....

And that running the British blockade was aiding and abetting the Terrorists.....

1. Yep. Those unruly American insurgents in 1776
needed to be tamed or eradicated.

2. And CNN would never have covered ...
... the Boston Tea Party or Paul Revere's ride, because the daughter of Goodman & Goodie Standish was reported MISSING from her high school quilting-bee trip to Aruba ...

(Good post!)

6. But can you imagine how much time they would spend looking for...
...Amelia Earhart?

They might have even found her, if they gave her as much time as "Lacy Peterson" or the Aruba girl.

7. It's funny that you say that because every time I see your name

I momentarily see it as Nancy Grace.

This was meant for NanceGreggs.

3. Yes, they would.
And they would have been all over the Salem Witch Trials, too. I often think that some of these idiots would be advocating burning people at the stake if they could get away with it now.

4. I like to think of them a the "...some of the people, All of the time..."
...That President Abraham Lincoln spoke about in his famous quote:

"You can fool some of the people all of the time,

and all of the people some of the time,

but you can not fool all of the people all of the time."

Abraham Lincoln, (attributed)
16th president of US (1809 - 1865)

10. To some, being fooled all of the time is easier than thinking for
themselves.

11. from Gore Vidal
In his book 'Dreaming War, blood for oil' etc Vidal uses a famous quote from Montaigne: "Lying is an accursed vice. It is only our words which bind us together and make us human. If we realized the horror and weight of lying, we would see that it is more worthy of the stake then other crimes...once you let the tongue acquire the habit of lying it is astonishing how impossible it is to make it give it up"
One good thing about bush. He has created a situation where ONLY those who support him and the ugliness he represents are forced publicly to say they believe blatant falsehoods, and threaten anyone who values honest truth.

12. And, their George was almost as mad as the one who wears the crown today.
But, not nearly as powerful. Good thing, or else we'd still be singing, "God save the Queen".
