2. It would work
because it would either continually remind people of Bush's empty promises and outright lies or it would cause doubts in the minds of those on the fence as to whether or not he -- or anyone else with (R) after their name and supportive of Bush -- is, in fact, telling the truth.

Easy to remember and not too difficult to spread the word about. I think it could be one of many Soundbite Friendly slogans ... now if the friggin' Dems in DC would only listen to us! Grrrrrr ...

4. How About
TRUTH IN GOVERNMENT

We certainly should all back that slogan. It would be a constant reminder that we haven't had truth in government since Bush got in. And Dems have to step up and be truthful. This crap with Hackett is just the kind of thing that allows Republicans to say, "Well they did it too". Let the primaries choose the candidates. Any Washington DC fingers that meddle should immediately be cut off. They aren't good enough at their jobs to meddle anywhere else.

An attack on Hackett's service in Iraq could bring forth just what scum the Republicans are, and what they have done in the past: Lying about Kerry, wearing purple heart bandaids to their convention, sending our military to a war of choice and then not taking care of our wounded, etc. Do they really want that despicable behavior to be a big part of a campaign?
Now if any of the stories of what Hackett did in Iraq are true, and I don't believe they are, then he should just remove himself from the political race without blaming anyone.
