GOP head calls drug plan problems 'unacceptable'

LAS VEGAS (AP) - The head of the Republican National Committee said Saturday that problems with the new Medicare prescription drug plan that have left thousands of elderly poor struggling to get medicine are "unacceptable."

Mehlman also said the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal had aggravated public distrust of politicians.

Nevada Democratic Party spokeswoman Kirsten Searer said she doubted Republicans could position themselves as reformers.

"This is the party that has been in power for some time and has abused that power," she said.

Reality: Repubs committed a lot of crimes, created a fu king mess, don't know what the hell they're doing, and need to be held accountable for their screw ups and crimes.
