Question? True that SS blocked Cheney investigation?

I remember in the first couple of days there were reports that Secret Service would not allow law enforcement in Texas to interview Cheney on Saturday. I heard nothing about that small detail on MTP this morning when they spoke about it at length. That seems to me to be the number one argument as to why the delay/coverup was criminal.

Nowhere is the role of the Secret Service to hide the Vice President from the local law authorities when it comes to reporting a near-lethal shooting.

Didn't they interfere in an underage drinking bust early in the 1st term?
