We want Kirsten Gillebrand in '06, CD20 NY, it is very important to get John DeLay Sweeney out of office. Sweeney also participated in the intimadation at the vote recount in FL in '00. It's a red district but we got a good chance this time. Kirsten is raising money and out there meeting people.( http://www.gillibrand2006.com/ )

But my thoughts were: If we DU the poll, how do you really know how she is doing? And will they have to throw the poll out if more people vote than are in the district?

9. Online polls aren't

scientific in any way but they will give people who see it pause, it says there is an active base and she needs to get her name out there, at this stage that is important. Last time no one even know there was someone running against him. He got in with 67% of the vote but the dem had no money and no advertising, no one knew who she was. Sweeney is sitting up and paying attention this time. He is either not voting on things or going against the administration.

I have been loving all the "we just love John sweeney" LTTE in the Post Star. The repubs are scared of this little feisty lady!
I went to her formal announcement in Saratoga- could not believe that sweeney's group came to protest. It was really funny I thought, they showed their fear. I am trying to figure out how I can work for her campaign- it's a matter of finding a regular day or days that I can take off to help.

They are looking for volunteers for a temporary campaign office in Albany.

We DUers should have some secret signal so we know each other at all these political events!

I got the email today from her campaign office- I would love to give lots of time but...I may contact them and give some weekend time.
