We need a change...NOW!
-----------------------

Looks like we better start utilizing solar, wind, hybrid-biodiesel/biomass fuels, and hydrogen.

We needed and still need something like Kennedy's "Project Apollo" but instead of the moon in 10 years it's energy independence as the goal.

It should have been undertaken while the President had the will of the country just following 9/11. He could have explained how oil money sponsors terrorism and how our dependence, on petroleum, involves us meddling in the affairs of middle eastern countries via the multinational petroleum industry, CIA, and the military which also fuels terrorism (well he won't say that but you get my point).

We need to fight smarter not harder.
Let our farmers grow fuel, let's utilize green algae lakes as a biodiesel source, let's spur new cottage industries centered around industrial hemp, let's take advantage of solar, wind, and hydrogen.
We can become more prosperous, better jobs, and less foreign dependence.
I look at these ideas as the most patriotic action(s) I can think of.
We need to take care of us...for a change!

The completion of the agreement would advance China's global quest for new stocks of energy. It could also undermine U.S. and European initiatives to halt Tehran's nuclear plans, possibly generating friction in Beijing's relations with outside powers.

anything that makes us less likely to go to war is good news. Who knows it may the thing that forces us to use greener fuels.

If we were energy independent, how would the UAE get enough of our money to buy our ports from us?
