You Have To Go Get Harper's Magazine for March!
Edited on Tue Feb-21-06 05:34 PM by babsbunny
It's not on their website yet, www.harpers.org but the cover says, "The Case For Impeachment" Why We Can No Longer Afford George W. Bush! With his Chimpy picture of course. This magazine rocks my world!

2. Just got mine today
but I haven't read the article yet, got sidetracked by the crossword.

The title put a big smile on my face, though. If ever there was a case for impeachment, it's this one, this time. We can't survive another 3 years of mismanagement, bungling, and outright anti Americanism.

9. Yes, but the double-acrostic is gone.
I used to work that puzzle to completion every month, or die trying.

Sadly missed.

Indeed, Harper's is a gem.

BTW, to those who do not know, that's Harper's Magazine, *not* Harpers Bazaar.

3. Lewis Lapham is Great (he wrote the article)
If you don't subscribe to Harper's, as cheap as it is, you are missing a brilliant iconoclast's (Lapham) take on the Bushites each and every month. Not to mention pure all around excellence (and the Harper's Index!). Harper's rocks my world, too.

6. Look at the Annotation in the middle of the magazine...
All about how drug companies and the goverment have colluded to terrify people about the flu.

(the author claims that the 36,000 number of flu deaths each year is inflated -- that it includes people who are already dying and who the flu might have kicked over the edge. He says that people who die of JUST the flu number fewer than 2,000 each year. Interesting, anyway...)

10. Lapham's article is astonishing in its directness.
Not only is the strong case for impeachment laid out in spades, the unspoken argument in the piece demands, "Why the hell hasn't this been done already?" If only a piece like this weren't relegated to a magazine read solely by the Left. If every citizen were to read this article, there would be absolutely no chance that Bush could avoid his just desserts.

14. subscribe.....
...and then copy the article and leave it everywhere you can. Doctors' office, senior center, subway, whatever. It's so important.

Hip, hip, hooray for Lewis Lapham, American treasure.

A one year subscription is only about $15. Put your shoulder to the wheel and give Harper's the subscription numbers today!
