SurveyUSA's latest U.S. Senate Approval Ratings
Edited on Wed Feb-22-06 12:27 AM by larissa
Released today:

By Net Job Approval:
http://www.surveyusa.com/50State2006/100USSenator060221Net.htm

By Highest Approval:
http://www.surveyusa.com/50State2006/100USSenator060221Approval.htm

No idea how accurate SurveyUSA's polls are?

How can Bob Menendez be so low when he's been in office such a short time? Seems like he hasn't been there long enough to judge the job he's doing.. Is there another Democrat running for his seat?

What's up with that NJ?

1. There's an asterisk next to his name
and an explanation at the bottom of the page that there is no info for him yet.

2. Thanks LittleClarkie! Geez..
..you'd think they'd leave the poor guy off the poll instead of listing him at 100 out of 100.

Especially when you don't read the footnotes, like me..

3. Let me just point out...
That I think it's very funny that Sen. Landrieu, the Democratic senator in Louisiana, has such a low approval rating. Meanwhile, David Vitter, the Republican senator who hasn't done a fucking thing for this state since katrina/rita has a high approval rating. He hasn't so much as said a word since Katrina and he has a 58% approval-unbelievable. I'm kind of scared there could be a major Democratic backlash in Louisiana over Katrina... having no one to blame for the catastrophy but the elected majority (Democrats) and ignoring the federal government's ineffectiveness Dems may be in for a scare in Louisiana.

4. Just 5 senators with negative approval-disaproval ratings?
And 2 of those 5 are Dems? :wtf:

6. Looks like Santorum
is probably done though.

DeWine should be beatable, but I thought I just saw a survey with him decently ahead.

Who else is running this year with low marks?

7. Look at George Allen, down to 51%
Dropping like a rock.

It would be a major coup to knock him off.

5. The Democratic voters of LA...
... are now scattered hither and yon by the four winds of FEMA. That might be why a `pug is getting such good ratings for doing nothing....

8. My hypothesis (kind of in line with youurs)
Landrieu has gotten tagged with Blanco, whereas Vitter is the anti-Blanco.

9. Exactly.
If for nothing else aside from the fact she's a female Democrat. I will hopefully be interning for Landrieu soon... so it could get interesting.

10. DeWine is in the basement
Only 43% approval rating. He's got a lot of money and most of the news media on his side though. He, Voino and Taft could be raging child molestors and still get support in Ohio.
