How do you feel about the LaRouche cult? |
|
Raise your hand if you have Lyndon LaRouche nutbag kids outside your subway stations. Yesterday there was a full chorus outside the Foggy Bottom station here in DC, singing in chorus with a huge banner putting this LaRouche character up there with FDR.
Here's the thing -- the banner had a "Dems in '06" headline on it.
How do you think the Dems feel about being put on that sign? What do you think about this whole cult? It seems to me that if I walked off the street into Microsoft HQ and demanded to replace Bill Gates, I'd have more qualifications than LaRouche. At least I've programmed a computer before -- I'm not sure he's ever served in government.
Thoughts?

2. He's been a nutjob since the '60s |
|
He's managed to switch from a leftist student radical, to a communist, then a right-wing pre-neocon conservative, to a "Democrat".
It's almost worth paying addmission to see what he morphs into next.
The only experience I've ever had with them was back in the early '70s. I ran like hell away from them. Powerful Kool-Aid.

4. Out of their minds / brainwashed |

I had to deal with them every day in college. Right before it was all but certain that Kerry had won the primary, one these cultists came up to me and asked me do you know who has the best support in the primaries. I said yes obviously, Senator Kerry. He responded with LaRouche and gave some outrageous statistic. I was actually scared because I saw it in his eyes that he believed it. I would usually take the longer route to class to avoid seeing them.

7. Lorouche is a nutcase, but he performs a valuable service . . . |
|
when he latches onto an issue he's tenacious, and pursues it into every nook and cranny . . . some of his research is quite detailed, and can be valuable when discussing particular issues . . . his solutions are generally whacked, but his problem definitions are often right on target . . .

8. You see them a lot in DC area |
|
they set up their tables at the Post Office, at the DMV, and in front of the DC Mosque on Mass Ave.... A thousand 5 year olds in the desert in August couldn't consume as much koolaid as one LaRouchie...
