Folks, I listened to Rush a little bit today, as I am often forced to
as I drive about my little burg. And I was mystified. Rush seemed to be trying to justify the UAE port thing, but he kept saying over and over that the "Democrats" were against it. And I wondered why he acted like he was unaware that Republicans were united against this as well. So then I was thinking that his listeners could not be as dumb as he was making them out to be - surely they listen to other sources and know that Republicans are against this as well. And then I wondered, will this finally be the moment when his listeners realize how contemptuous he is of them and how stupid he thinks they really are? Because they would have to know that he was just flat out manipulating them. So now I guess we all get to find out- How stupid and uninformed are Rush Limbaugh's listeners anyway?

2. this has got to be a bind for guys like him. He aint stupid but...
when he gets faxed his talking points from Karl, that's it. He can't deviate. Same with Fox.

It will put the lie to the claim that they are on the air because of ratings.

7. The ditto-boyz are indeed lost.
I knew some when I worked in Indiana. He's got them so brainwashed . . . it's as though they're from a different universe.

4. It's been fun listening to their twisting and turning
Since 9/11, Rush has told us to fear the Islam religion and all who follow it.

Now he's saying "be happy" and enjoy them owning our ports. Might be enough to send him off again on his drugs.

I'm suprised he's not saying Bill Clinton was the one behind the whole deal.

6. They are every bit that stupid
Edited on Wed Feb-22-06 11:45 PM by fknobbit
Oxy Rush provides them with their defensive rhetoric for tomorrow. Bring up the ports tomorrow and they will repeat it almost verbatim, throw in some Clinton and call you a troop hating liberal.

9. I did hear him say one very stupid statement....
before I was able to turn him off. He said, "Clinton allowed someone from U.A.E. to sleep in the Lincoln Bedroom at the White House, so now they say that someone from U.A.E. shouldn't run the ports in our country" "What's the difference?", he asked. He's lost it!

11. Dildo heads really are that stupid.
Under mind control they aren't capable of critical thought or recognition of pattern changes. "It's the way is is because it's always been this way."
They just don't see it. Idealogically blind, I suppose it could be called.

13. Rush is always right...
"Surely they listen to other sources and know that Republicans are against this as well."

They may "listen" to other sources, but if anything comes up that contradicts ol' Rushie, it's just more librul lies from the big bad LIEberal Media.

If CNN shows DeLay saying it's "pretty outrageous," obviously they just took that clip out of context.

Even if the usual Fox idiots are criticizing it, that just proves that Fox is just as librul as Air America.

Besides, any Republicans who criticize anything that Bush may even think of doing might as well be lumped in with those traitorous Democrats anyway, right?

14. Similar thing happened to me
AAR goes off the air here at 6:15, so I wind up switching over to Sean Hannity, just to see what he's up to. Luckily, I have a short trip home from work, so I don't have to deal with a lot of it. He's actually been pretty pissed about the whole port sellout deal, but offered justification for it today. He said that basically we don't want to lose our military base in UAE because that's a key locale for when we "have to deal with Iran." I hate to say it, but I think he may be on to something there.

16. I see- we hand the Saudi Royals the keys to our ports and in exchange...
...we get to fight ANOTHER war we are not prepared to win the peace in.

Sure Sean- and the Saudi's will provide lots of troops & billions just like in Iraq.

On to something- or just plain ON SOMETHING?

19. I'm not saying that it's a good thing
but it would explain a lot - and it would be a convenient justification for anyone who believes we do need to "deal with Iran" with military intervention.

17. Rush Limpballs aside, can some one please explain what is wrong
with the UAE deal when they are forking over 8 Billion
dollars to acquire the lease to operate the 6 US ports.

What could they possibly gain by throwing in a security
event caused by their doing? If that happens, they should
know better than anyone else their ass gets kicked out and
their investment goes down the drain.

To my knowledge the security checks are still handled by
US customs officials. The UAE company is only involved in
managing movement of cargo in the ports.

May be Rove figures if the UAE outfit is rejected by congress,
they can get Halliburton in on the job?

20. Thank you for doing this - I went over
to freeperland.

One freeper saying over and over why s/he was so concerned.
All the other little freeps were saying how UAE is our ally, so they obviously have been listening to Rush.

Coulter had an op-ed posted on their site. She is against this.
She is such a horrible writer. But she was also taking digs at O'Reilly!

Then I went over to Drudge. His big story is what happened in Iraq today - calling it the start of the civil war, but had a couple of links to stories about the ports. One pro, and one about how DeLay spoke out against it.

ewwwww. It's good to know how the bushbots are spinning this,
but now it's time for detox.
