Folks, someone smarter than I please tell me - are we being set up, or is this Port Deal for real?

1. It was for real

There are a number of reasons for Bushco to do this...

1) The US needs the deep water ports in the Persian Gulf to service our military ships... especially as the war in Iraq drags on, but most ESPECIALLY if there is going to be a war with Iran. We also need their airfields.

2) If you have a tinfoil hat... jam it on... I think they needed this deal to LIHOP #2 (the dirty bomb). Getting that device whose origins MUST be traced to Iran, into the US will require some sort of transshipment entry... ergo, a seaport. What better than a seaport where our "foe" (Al kady) can infiltrate with ease (get a UAE sleeper cell to enact the shipment for you). The origin of dirty bomb is important to begin the war with Iran (the next step in the never ending war on terra)

And I think they thought that this could slip by more or unless unnoticed... and they almost succeeded.
