Why isTerry McAuliffe appearing on Cable News Shows ?
both on CNN and MSNBC Terry McAuliffe has been the "go to" as the Democratic Party spokesperson to speak about the UAE/Ports issue.

Apart from not being able to stand that guy, it struck me that it was him that was being asked to speak about the DP's position on this issue rather than Howard Dean.

Anyone know anything we should know?

1. Well, you know Howard. He might start screaming or something.
Terry's DLC. He's respectable, almost a Republican, ya know. You can trust him, he's a good corporate player.

10. When I saw him he said Bush is asleep at the switch
as well as many many tough things about the recklessness of this admin. He did a good job.

5. I saw him on MSNBC yesterday and he actually did a good job.
So, from what I saw, I'm OK with it and I was certainly no fan of Terry as head of the DNC.

He won some brownie points from me when he said to Tweety's face that John McCain was his (Tweety's)hero. Tweety got all flustered.

It was great.

6. He had Tweety completely in shock !!
Edited on Thu Feb-23-06 11:11 PM by larissa
Tweety actually turned bright red  and was bumbling like a complete fool trying to come up with a coherent response!

McAuliffe looked at him and said "everyone knows about your love affair with McCain; you are OBSESSED with the guy".

Tweety was completely thrown for a loop!!

He started bumbling on about how he likes everyone, "no, I don't have a pick... I....I... I.... I..." But McAuliffe cut in on him basically telling him to put a sock in it. "Obsessed Chris, you're obsessed with the guy... hey that's okay Chris.. he's your hero"

I don't know why he's out there so much lately, but Matthews looked like such a total idiot --> that I'm surprised he invited Terry back.

20. cool... very glad to know something untoward is not happening behind the
scenes... the Paul Hackett thingy was weird and I was hoping something like that was NOT being done to Dean. (again).

23. And Albuquerque today.
Been all over.

At UCLA yesterday he called Bush the sorriest excuse for a president ever.

Actually McAuliffe has been doing a pretty good job.

13. Classy comment ... NOT
Face it - love him or hate him, McAuliffe kicked Tweety's ass yesterday.

I didn't see it today, but yesterday he HARDBALLED Tweety into the ground.

14. He's a safe centriust corporate Democrat -- The kind they like
He'll do the Democratic song-and-dance about how bad the Bush administration is, but always on the basis that the precepts of things like Corporate Economics and the scam of "free trade" are fine and dandy.

Give a pro-corporate Democrats argument to it.
