Sherrod Brown on Big Eddie today..
I didn't catch it earlier today, so I just listened to a download of it on Sherrod's website.

First time I've ever heard him before.

He joked about Rush Limbaugh telling his listeners he was black and Fox News calling him a "woman from Ohio". Real fine reporting there righties.

He told Eddie that he is reaching out to Paul Hackett. ~~ ~~ That was good to hear.

The guy is definitely an optimist. Eddie said some poll he read today shows the Democrats picking up 5 seats in 2006. Sherrod was WAY more optimistic. He started rambling off all kinds of states he thinks the Democrats will win in 2006. Said he thought they even had a chance in Arizona.

He mostly spoke about the Dubai deal and what a doofus Bush was handling it.

I was hoping Ed would ask him about Diebold in Ohio, but they talked about the port situation for too long.

Sherrod said that he was endorsed by the Teamster's Union today. I really liked Paul Hackett, but the guy is definitely well-spoken and upbeat. I'm glad Ohio still has an excellent candidate in the race.

1. AZ will be tough, but we do have a shot
Jim Pederson is a good candidate. Jon Kyl is pretty entrenched but he's not unbeatable the way McCain is. It should be a solid race.

Sherrod Brown is a great candidate. He's everything that our party should be looking for. A proven fighter. I like that guy a lot. I hope he and Hackett patch things up. There is no need to beat up on each other or anything like that. It's too important for our country to have the Dems win that seat.

I'd like to hear his thoughts on Diebold for sure.

Brown's wife won the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary for her columns a few years ago. Her name is Connie... damn, forgot her last name. Anyway, those two are a pair of smart cookies.

3. She just took a leave from the PD
To help Sherrod with his campaign. The right wing nut jobs and others were giving her and her bosses a hard time, trying to get her fired.

I'll be glad when she returns, her columns are great.
