Democratic Cop Lets Me Off With a Warning
Edited on Fri Feb-24-06 06:35 PM by AtomicKitten
I was pulled over this A.M. driving from SF to Cupertino in California.

I lost my tags in my move to SF. The cop told me to take care of it - no citation - but to be careful because if a Republican cop pulled me over he would take my car since there is a law that says if tags are over 6 months expired the car can be confiscated.

This was in reference to my bumper stickers:
Bush Thinks You're Stupid
Ignorance and Arrogance is Bad Foreign Policy
Who Would Jesus Torture
One Nation Under Surveillance

This is proof-positive that the red/blue paradigm has permeated every aspect of our society and that people are choosing up sides.

I'm just glad the "right" cop was the one that pulled me over. Plus he was gorgeous. Happy day.

2. As a state trooper (in another state)
I find this disturbing. I try and (would hope) every officer would treat every individual the same.

6. he had a choice
warn me, cite me, or take my car

I don't thing a warning was "treating me differently," however, warning me what a cop that didn't like my bumper stickers might do was valuable information. My procrastination is over.

All's well that ends well.

16. I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea
but I can often tell a persons ethnicity by their voice and when my cable acted up last month I reported it to this nice lady, who asked "is there anything else I can do for you." I said yes. I told her I deserved a credit since the tech couldn't come right away and I also asked her to tell everyone to vote Democratic in Nov. I got a massive credit on the bill and some future discounts on expanded service. hmmm I guess she wasn't a republican minority voter.

19. We had a somewhat positive experience with a Democratic
cop, too.

We had just gone over the border from Illinois to Wisconsin. Those Wisconsin cops put you in jail for speeding.

My husband was speeding. I was sure he was going to jail. This one pulled my husband over, and gave him a ticket. He laughed about the bumper stickers.

I was so relieved that we got off with a fine.
