(BBC radio:) Democrats fail to find a message
(BBC World Service) President Bush's popularity ratings have plummeted, but why, asks Justin Webb, is it that the opposition, the Democrats, are not surfing the opinion polls, capitalising on the Republicans' misfortunes and preparing to take over Congress when the election comes in the autumn?

... much more, with disappointing conclusion: read and lsten here...

3. i actually find some truth in what he's saying.
i think since reagan the too many have formulated a defensive posture to the right.

i'm not talking about du -- and i don't think the writer would be either.

a more dedicated muscular crew you couldn't than those here.

but the leadership?

i think the writer has some good observations for them.

5. Defensive Is Good Enough For Me
Edited on Sat Feb-25-06 08:20 AM by iamjoy
I was against Dubya because I knew

what he wanted to do to the judiciary...
what he wanted to do to Social Security...
what he wanted to do to the environment...
what he wanted to do to the workers...

I knew what Dubya wanted to do to this country, and stopping him was reason enough for me to vote for Kerry. But apparently, it wasn't enough for many Americans.

added on edit: the "was" refers to the election, I certainly don't support Dubya now.

4. lazy journalism
here's a much better article on the same worthy subject, the dems' 2006 message, with the helpful inclusion of some actual reporting, instead of the just the obvious observations in that Justin Webb piece...
