Well his show last night was pretty good, compared to last weeks. He had good knowledgeable guest for a change, and he was funny!
Can't ask for more then that, from a comedian. I do wish someone would explain why the NSA debacle is bad for the country, and that a warrant is required.

2. a warrant is required because of a little thing called the Constitution |
|
Edited on Sat Feb-25-06 03:06 PM by Vincardog
4th Amendment The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated; and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched and the persons or things to be seized.

But Bill Maher doesn't seem to get it. Maher supports the NSA spying program.

10. I'm not sure I got that impression... |

His commentary on it seemed more tongue-in-cheek than anything else. To ME, anyway.

3. yes. it was a good show. i've been watching bill maher for |
|
years -- way back when he was on comedy central. he was on larry king last week after the cheney shooting incident. he said "the story started out that it was a hunting accident, next we'll hear that cheney shot the guy across the table during dinner". my husband who doesn't like bill maher and who doesn't think he's funny couldn't stop laughing.

5. I liked last week's because Eddie Griffin |
|
was funnier than hell. He had Helen Thomas cracking up almost constantly. Bill was looking at him like "would someone shut this guy up?"

9. thank you. i have trouble with my short term memory. yes helen |

thomas was great and yes eddie griffin -- i loved the part when he talked about muslims having to pray 5 times a day and how with christianity -- jesus is cool -- you can smoke your weed and then go to church on sunday and drop $20.00 in the collection and everything is okay. and what would happen to a muslim who was in a club having a good time and had to leave because it was time to pray. he had be cracking up. he was not offensive to either religion -- he was just funny pointing out the differences.
