When will we get it - their motto should be.."Party Before Country"
Why do the Dems fail to look through the proper prism when it comes to battling and defeating the Rethugs? (First, a disclaimer that I must make to appease some of those here - I AM NOT stating we must sell our own integrity down the river to defeat these guys; we just need to understand how they operate.)

Can everyone out there imagine what the rightwingers would have been doing if the powers in Washington were exactly the opposite? My god, I can imagine the Sunday talks shows and how many republican after republican would be thundering at a Democratic president that would even think of selling control of our ports to an enemy that attacked us.

If the Dems were Rethugs, a person like Joe Liberman would be marched out and forced to denounce this deal and if he did not, he would be taken care of by his party.

Let's face it folks - the Rethugs constantly put their Party before the Country, while we are always trying to explain the fine print details. That old saying about a lie gets halfway around the world before the truth gets its shoes on is appropriate when talking about how Rethugs work.

Every week it seems I wake up to a new Bush and think, "This is the ONE" and "How could another scandal top this one." And then watch as it slips through our fingers again and again.

And to those who continue to bemoan the media is owned by the rightwingers, I suggest this: all it would really take is for a powerful Dem like Dean or even Biden to pull someone like Tweety aside and say, "Listen you bastard. We are sick and tired of getting rolled by the Republicans on your show and if you and your frigging wife want to remain on the Washington DC party circuit, you better start playing a little differently." Murtha could even be standing in the background shooting the chickenshit some glares. Tweety would then wet himself...and this is how you truly play hardball.

WHen they spent 8 years investigating Clinton's bowel movements and eventually tried to overthrow the will of the voters over a blow job, you can bet it was not being done for the good of the country.

Ignoring Caligula Minor for 6 years now as he steals and lies his way through our democracy is not being done for the good of the country either.

Of course they always put party before country.
