8. oh yes, he does.
from the time he was governor of texas, he has always had a HUGE security detail, much greater than any other governor had ever had. he knew his whole job was to make the massively unpopular just palatable enough to steal elections without a revolution.

10. Oh Hell....he doesn't give a sh*t....
....this whole presidency has been a business man's plan to grab as much of the gusto for him, his family and his friends as he can before leaving office. And Karl Rove, who trained under Richard Nixon's guy Donald Segretti and is himself one of Segretti's "rat-fuckers", a term they used for themselves when using "dirty tricks" to destroy the opposition, was able to see the weak spots in the Republican Party and the Christian Right fanatics that could be exploited to make this little "coup" take hold and keep holding!

14. I believe he is hypersensitive to criticism
He knows its out there, but it enrages him to hear it

That's why he's sealed off

He blows his AWOL top when he gets ANY opposition whatsoever

No one may dare to oppose the iMperIaL onE

18. You're on to something there.
I think the whole "free speech" thing enrages him, the fact that we ("the people") have a constitutional right to criticize him if we want to. I truly believe he would lock up dissenters if he could, solely for the crime of saying something critical of him. Not against the country, but against him. He's the Chimperor, after all.

19. I think it's inbred
Remember the outrage in the family over the "wimp" comment years ago? And Poppy and Babs needing to defend any criticism of their little Georgie?

I don't think the Bush family can handle criticism at all. It just isn't tolerated by the BFEE.

20. I think he does...
I think he does know. He does so hate criticism and opposition that a lot of what he has done in reaction to criticism over Katrina and the war in Iraq is like a two year old throwing a tantrum.

He hates us back with a vengeance. I think if he could do more to us and get away with it, he would. He is arrogant beyond belief and he has no conscience or empathy. I have said in posts before that I think he is a sociopath, and I do. If he weren't such a blundering idiot we would be toast.

30. You're welcome....
Bush is a cold, sadistic man who enjoys making people feel small and miserable. He plays with us like chess pieces. It is not just a recent phenomenon. He's been like this all his life. He just has a much bigger stage to act out on. If you look at his parents you can see that it is very much a family condition too.

23. no, thinks we're assholes for not giving him our undying love and support
Edited on Tue Feb-28-06 10:20 AM by gasperc
he's probably bitching up a storm that he spends 24/7 worrying about Iraq, "our" safety and the security of the world. I'll give him this, his burden is great but IT IS A STEW OF HIS OWN MAKING. He was warned about the dangers of invading Iraq, he ignored those warnings and choose political opportunity. It has been suggested to either double troop strength or re-deploy troops outside of Iraq, he chooses neither and DEMANDS we stay the course. He knows alot that we don't know but now his wrong choices are huge mis-calculations that are moving from political problems to huge dangers for the stabilty of the nation's economy and security. All due to choices HE made. So sorry I'm not giving you my undying support, we warned you and you berated and minimalized the anti-war movement as just a "focus group".

Mr President, you are wrong to think that I wouldn't fight terrorism with my own bare fucking hands. I have two kids and even if I find myself half a world away on a business trip, I WILL RISK MY OWN LIFE TO STOP TERRORISM. Because whenever they succeed it affects my kid's future!! I'm not against the war in Iraq because I'm afraid of terrorists, I'm against the war in Iraq because it was THE DUMBEST FUCKING WAY POSSIBLE TO FIGHT TERRORISM. AND I think Bush went into Iraq for the sake of going into Iraq for either a military launching pad to easily strike at Iran, to conquer and sit on Iraq's oil resource, for pure political opportunism or probably and combination of all three!!!

Not a clue.

Keep in mind, we're talking about a man who didn't know a major city was under water - even though it was dominating the news - for days. Glaring reality isn't his strong suit. He only knows what the inner circle of GOPbots tells him and they ain't about to tell him he ain't loved.

28. I think he probably feels like it's not true. That it's just the
"liberal media" and that a few loud voices. He's way too egotistical and arrogant to think he's anything but right and loved. And I'm sure all those around him are telling him that none of the criticism is what the public really thinks.

He knows everyone else hates his guts but he doesn't give a shit because he sees himself as superior to them. Plus, his mom tells him he's special. I can honestly see Babs telling him as a kid "you're not fat, you're big-boned."

34. He wouldn't give a glass of water to the mother of a son he had
sent to die, as she sat in the heat of a Texas summer and waited to say ten words to him. Does he know how much he is disliked? Doesn't matter. He really really doesn't give a shit.

I have never hated anyone, and I don't hate him, but I have to remember the words of a friend who was divorced and spoke so fondly of her ex husband: If he was on fire, I wouldn't piss on him to put it out.

35. He doesn't care ...
As long as the people directly in front of him are sucking up to him, he could care less ... Outside of getting bloody rich, the "rush" he gets out of the thing is the ultimate ego glorification ... EVERYONE caters to him, he gets whatever he wants, when he wants it ... He gets to dress up and strut in front of cameras getting off helicopters ... It is one HUGE ego rush, and as long as he gets the direct butt kissing, he could care less what is going on outside of the "bubble" ...
