and Bill Clinton was the cross these Democrats were nailed to. It is fascinating to watch the same now happening to northeastern Republicans like Chaffee! Chaffee has a primary opponent who is running on the rage of Republican neocons. On the other side Democrats are winning votes by linking Chaffee to Bush, and by winning over moderates who no longer feel comfortable having Republicans to represent them.
Chaffee can win conservative votes, but only by risking support from moderates in November. Or he could attack this adminstration..and the Congress which serves them, but lose his head in the primary! What Goes Around Comes Around. :nopity:
