Referendum In S.. Dakota??? |
|
Edited on Wed Mar-08-06 12:56 AM by banana republican
In Washington (The OTHER Washington) we have a puke named Tin Eyeman who has been abusing the referendum process for several years now.
What is the referendum process in S. Dakota. Can a referendum be started in S. Dakota to reverse the State Legislature???
I am not from S. Dakota so I don't know what the rules are..
Could a referendum work in S. Dakota????
Inquiring minds want to know???
On Edit:
Washington State passed a referendum PRIOR to Row V. Wade approving a woman's choice. I think any legislature would have a difficult time overturning it...

1. I heard something on Air American yesterday about this. |

It sounded like if there were a petition signed by a certain number of SD citizens, the issue would have to go to a referendum - according to SD's state constitution.

2. That sounds like a call to action if I ever heard one. |

Besides turning this around in the courts (which I still believe will happen) we need to make these grandstanding politicians pay a political price. Think "Dover, PA school board."
