Who thinks Soros' comments on Kerry makes him a Johnny Come Lately?
I would have been impressed if 1 month prior to Iowa
Soros would have said this but now that Kerry has
an air of inevitability, it seems kind of lame.

It's equivalent to Gore endorsing Dean when he did.

It's the "put the wet finger in the air" type of thinking.

My sincere respect to Soros for promoting liberal causes,
but nonetheless, I want leadership...not herd mentality.

1. He will back the nominee whoever it is
Just like he got on the Dean bandwagon.

Soros gets headlines, but his obvious "back the frontrunner" statements don't mean much. It's the money, honey, that I'm grateful for.

2. Agree on Soros, Disagree on Gore
Yeah Dean looked ahead when Gore endorsed him, but not a vote had yet been cast. Any savvy politician who wanted to make sure he picked a winner would have waited until after Iowa and NH at least.

4. "leadership, not herd mentality"
That sounds like something someone would say about the Dean campaign and how it's becoming more irrelevant with every childish attack Dean makes.

5. Soros Held Fund-Raisers for Dean and Clark. But Said he "Admired Kerry"
Edited on Mon Feb-02-04 10:10 AM by WiseMen
even when he was down. In fact he said he was a "I have great admiration" . . .

6. Then why didn't he endorse him then...
It kind of proves my point, don't you think?

7. He should not endorse anyone since he is subject of RNC FEC filing

to stop his donations.
