Bush LONG ASS Teevee "press" talk was to circumvent Dem's Security Efforts
Edited on Wed Mar-29-06 03:21 PM by FrenchieCat
1.5 hours of nonsense with his "imbedded" Press Audience!

This was done to co-oped the Democrats' efforts to unveil their plans for our Nation's security!
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/03/29/politics/29security.html?_r=1&oref=slogin

As Bush droned on and on saying nothing new, just more of the same messed up Shit, Dems were denied a live appearance.... as usual.

Clark on Fox now setting the record straight. He said Dems are going after Osama Bin Laden, because Bush said "dead or alive", but he is still on the loose! They are dealing with all of the security issues, including Energy security (getting off of the Oil tit completely by 2020).

Clark said that the present policy in place in Iraq....is running out of gas...because diplomacy was never used. The constitution has to be changed NOW, in 2006.....cause this is the year. The war should have been fought politically, not militarily. The military is there as leverage, not as the principle goal. Bush continues to send mixed messages, on the one hand Bush states that we are to stay in Iraq till after he's gone...and on the other hand he is telling the Iraqi government to pull up their socks and go to work. Clark believes that our Military presence should be threatened to be pulled out if the Iraqi Government doesn't get off the dime and start really doing what needs to be done politically (getting the minorities with fair representation inside of the Government).

1. Oh.....and that was only a "pretend" Press Conference that Bush had....
Edited on Wed Mar-29-06 02:50 PM by FrenchieCat
The man is desperate, and the Teevee Cable Triplets are giving him the bully pulpit to a ridiculous extent once again.

2006 is gonna be a make or break it year for both the GOP and the Dems! Prblem is that the GOP have the media on their side....and they always will!

3. Yea....* is desperate but it's also interesting
all of his handlers are fleeing the ship and stabbing each other in the back...so they are not there to hold his hand and prevent press conferences like today from happening.....

From the threads it looks like most of the media didn't cover him....interesting....

2. Well, duh!!!
I just wish, for once, every Dem would do a Democratic Congressional walk-out, complete with picket signs and gags (or duct-taped mouths) onto the steps of the Capitol. Walk in a picket circle for fifteen minutes until every media outlet has cameras there and reporters are clamoring for 'comments'. Then, a speaker exuding passion spoke out...the first words would be, "Now that we have your attention!"

*dreams*

5. When I get a hold of Clark's Appearance right after Bush on
faux on video...I will post it here. The interviewer was trying so hard to make it seem like Dems are being overreaching in their claims of being the National Security party until she made me want to kick her ass!

However, Gen. Clark was very forceful and strong in the articulation of his belief that Democrats have a unified strength that is much more superior to that of the GOP, and they haven't made 500,000 mistakes either.

If the other cable channels had Dems on that were as strong in their belief (as opposed to waivering one iota) that Dems really are the party of national security, that issue would not longer be a strong suit for the GOP...no matter what their hand picked media whores say.

11. At least he took a day off from campaigning
besides consuming 90 min on three TV channels that only idiots watch anyway, he didn't do much damage today, and it didn't cost the taxpayers millions of dollars like most of his days do
