On Senator Schumer’s Proposed Legislation Regarding the President’s Warrantless Wiretapping Program

March 29, 2006

"I applaud Senator Schumer’s desire to get this issue to the Supreme Court as soon as possible. I am pleased that my colleagues are thinking about ways to address the President's illegal conduct. But while I look forward to reviewing the Schumer proposal, Congress itself should not delay in holding the President accountable for his illegal actions."

I continually applaud Sen. Feingold in keeping this issue alive! He wants answers, he's demanding answers, and I pray to gawd he's successful!

Senator Russ Feingold is the only Democrat with a backbone. His efforts to make the United States wholesome again are greater than anybody else's. I stand and applaud Senator Feingold, because I sometimes think that he is one of the few politicians that care about our rights and freedom.

14. Many senators support the investigative hearings on Friday - media isn't

discussing that, are they?

Instead, they have focused on the very few not supporting censure, while ignoring the MANY senators who have supported Feingold's move to put censure in committee to force further investigation which set up Friday's hearings.

Too bad so many are IGNORING these facts while allowing the media to spread their anti-Feingold, anti-Dem spin.

9. Feingold is Being Nice to Schumer

What Schumer has done is give all the "cowering" Democrats another excuse NOT to support censure.

I can hear it already: "We'll look so foolish if we vote for censure, then the Supreme Court rules that everything Bush did was legal."
