11. I read it, Sir or Madam, and was impressed, as usual.

I don't recognize many by name on this forum but The Magistrate is one exception.

These people are in a mood that allows them to be reached by the traditional economic arguments of the left; they are open to the idea that the "Free Market" damned sure does not work to their benefit as working people.

What is called the free market here does not exist. When one of the factors of production controls the supply of another, that other ceases to be a factor of production. When capital controls the supply of labor then labor has become a sub-entity of capital.

12. Thanks! I read it. what I don't get is WHY they haven't learned this

lesson in the past? Every single time rules, regulations, and laws have been "relaxed" employers have caused total havoc on society. Why is this a lesson the "right" cannot get?

This is THE issue that almost always ends up turning the tables at the polls but for the life of me I cannot figure out why they keep putting the "trickle down" party back in power over and over again!

...who hire the illegal aliens. We shouldn't punish the people here illegally; we should punish those who hire them. Do you assert that there is no corporate involvement in construction? Agribusiness has no corporate involvement? Congress answers to the corporations. No, the correct answer is corporate America has more influence over just about everything. Pension reform. Social Security reform. Environment reform. Immigration reform. Medicare reform. In every instance, policy problems are seen by the GOP as further reasons to rape the treasury and the corporate world benefits at the expense of Americans.

And didn't I hear something about Wal-Mart being accused of locking illegals in their stores overnight -- for security purposes?
