1. Proud to be your first vote for IMPEACHMENT - the only legal remedy for
presidential lawbreaking.

3. impeach and then jail
the lot of them in the Hague.

It's the ONLY way America will regain the respect of the international community, IMO.

4. Impeachment is a political process, but...
It is also supposed to serve as a check on presidential power. Congress has dangerously allowed itself to become irrelevant in the Current Regime; impeachment to remove the entire administration would do a great deal to restore faith in the Constitutional system of government.

7. I voted to impeach....but I will qualify that by saying that I believe
that the best strategy for the Dems is not to scream impeachment until AFTER the 2006 elections and here's why:

If the left uses that as a rallying cry before the elections, we will only have given a wake up call to the Republicans to come out and vote in droves in the 2006 elections...because even those who don't like Bush that much anymore and who would have most possibly stayed home in disgust on November of '06, might not want to actually see the person they voted for impeached. I don't want to give them an excuse to get energized to want to vote.

Considering how the Iraq War is going, the public's understanding via the Dubai Port Deal and Katrina....that not only are the Republicans incompetent, they do not have the best interest of the American people at heart. I don't think that a cry for impeachment would make those points any clearer...and in fact would detract from the quiet storm currently swirling in the minds of many Republicans.

It is my strong belief that unless the Democrats win back the house first, Impeachment is impossible, unless Bush does something even more aggretious (if that's possible)that just totally disgusts people to an extent of no return...and I can't wait and bank on that.

So yes, Impeach.....but with a strategic plan so that it can really happen....and from where I sit, Dems can win the house back more easily without an outcry from the left for impeachment.....

Once we have the majority....then we order the investigations....and then we scream it from the rooftops.

I want to see it happen....but *timing* really is everything!

9. Do you think you are "misleading" people a little?
Not arguing; asking. At some point, wouldn't you *want* one of the issues to be "should this president be impeached?"

I don't have a lot of faith in the integrity of the Republican base, but to be fair (Diebold issues notwithstanding), shouldn't the majority of voters have a say?

11. I think we should impeach......
The question for me is just "when"....

The catalyst to impeachment should be an investigation....which will only be called in a serious manner if the house is lead by the Democrats.

I think that we work to win back the house (without awakening the "Republican" base with calls for impeachment prior to election '06 that won't happen during the GOP majority reign) and then we impeach.

Strategically, we stand a better chance of getting impeachment, not just calling for it, with the right timing.

10. Impeachment is for high crimes and misdemeanors
What Bush has done may fall under this category. Somebody needs to build a case for it, though.

14. Is it misleading *NOT* tell the Republicans we want him impeached?
If they support him *AND DON'T WANT HIM GONE* shouldn't they be provided the opportunity to "turn out in droves" in support of him?

Its a "devil's advocate" stand, so please share your opinions without attacking me.

16. Nope....they should not be provided with Shit.....Not
doo-doo nor diddly-squat!

The fools voted him in....them and their crooked voting machines, and that was way more than enough! Why give them something to get hot under the collar about?

Let's keep them focused on the Dubai Port Deal and their wallets and the messed up War!

The last thing we need in Election 2006 is Limbaugh and Hannity putting out the rallying cry for them to go and vote in order to "save" their Wartime President. I can hear Limbaugh now...."those Lefties are on the side of Osama! Osama would like nothing better than to see your President being removed from office. He'll be laughing all the way to Iraq! We have to go and vote and stop them from giving the Terrarist a win!"

Either we want Impeachment for real...or we just like the way it sounds, and don't care how it affects our chances in 2006. The choice is ours...but just remember that when something can go wrong, it normally does. There is no advantage in calling for Impeachment of a President that is of the opposing party while the opposing party has the power never have it come up.

I actually want to impeach this President, not just to hear myself saying or talking about it.

15. Impeach Bush and Cheney and then to jail, but
impeachment is a political remedy. To be successful, there has to be broad support for the removal of these crooks from office.Without substantial majorities in both Houses of Congress it will not happen. Our focus should be on electing Democrats by tiering this good for nothing(unless you are a billionaire) Congress to Bush. Then we investigate in such a way that the corporate media cannot ignore the crimes that have been committed and the damage which has been done to America. Then and only then is there an appreciable chance of impeaching the bastards. To strike a king, one must be sure that the king can be removed from the throne, lest he is only made stronger.
