with the testing of these missles and their rhetoric against the U.S.

If I didn't know better I would think that Iran is in on some plan to goad the world into war - WWIII.

If anybody says what *Co has been doing isn't about 'oil' - what is going on with the banter between the U.S./Iran/U.N. leads me to believe that something else is going on.

Setting aside the underlying mechanics (oil markers, currency exchange, Saudi Arabia as the 'swing state'and such) here is the oil bourse situation in the nutshell:

There are currently two oil bourses (like stock exchanges, only dealing in oil): the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYME) and the International Petroleum Exchange (IPE) in London. Both US owned, both trading in U.S. dollars.

Iran intends to establish a third Oil Bourse - tentatively to be called the IOB: Iranian Oil Bourse - (and a fourth oil marker)
trading in EUROS.

When this happens, demand for dollars will
fall. Interest rates will rise.

(Nuclear weapons is NOT one of the reasons.)

I've thought this for some time. It's hard to believe they would actually want MORE WAR because they're obviously entrenched in Iraq. My theory COULD be totally wrong and if so, we have major problems, but I CAN just see them pushing the envelope to see what will happen.
