I mean really, even it Mckinny slap the crap out of a Capitol police officer. So what. Even if she is convicted what's the sentence going to be? 30 days in jail? I not defending hitting a police office but CNN and Wolf are making this out to be a hugh case.

Or the asshat we have who is supposedly running this country. Etc., etc., ad nauseum.

They probably have their staffers calling up CNN and FOX HQ every five minutes with more "details" concerning the incident.

10. McKinney's an idiot for allowing this to happen.
She should have not hit the officer in the first place. Second, she shouldn't have started screaming racism. There is no indication of that. Also, DC is majority African American.

She only gave the Cable "News" (GOP Propaganda) outlets a chance to bash the Democrats. Things were going so well for the Democrats up until her stupid stunt.

15. And sadly...
people have staked out positions on this issue without having all the facts. I have no idea what actually happened at the Cpitol Building. But, it never ceases to amaze me how people immediately start spinning a story with only the smallest bits of information (or misinformation).
I agree with your premise that there are two sides to every story. I just wish people would get more facts first and leave their emotions at the curve until the whole story has come out.

BTW: I'm not referring to you. I'm referring to others. It's just your post opened the door to letting me get my point in.
Thanx.

Very few things in life are black and white. Very few. Maybe he grabbed her to hard. Maybe she was being a buthole. maybe both or niether is true.

I can tell you this though, It's down right hard, if not imposible, to get into peoples heads and hearts and figure out what's going on.

Do you ever question why you feel a certain way about something? Sometimes we can even be decieving to ourselves.

12. I don't think it's totally MSM on this one.
Look at the posts on DU. For every one on the Homeland Security story or on delay, there's about four on McKinney.
In addition, I think the situation at the Capitol Building has become needlessly vile in the way people describe it. I've read posts where the officer is "a racist pig" or "he is part of bushco" that this is all a secret plot to get back at the Dems for delay, etc. On the other side of the aisle, there are right wingers calling her "stupid" "arrogant" many of the know-nothings on tv have focused on the way she dresses, etc.
There just seems to be more emotion spent on the story at the Capitol and it's not entirely the fault of the MSM.
For my money, delay and the DHS story should be the focus, followed by Iraq and the Capitol Building story should be fourth.
One another personal note: If she wasn't wearing her ID, she should have been stopped. Anyone who has ever worked with the federal government knows when you're on a security detail visual recognition is not enough to just let someone pass through. Ask anyone who's ever been an MP. If you don't stop them, you are subject to being fired or severely reprimanded (civilian) or get an Article-15 (military).

Rep. McKinney WAS stopped, showed her ID and went on her way. Exactly HOW did this become anything but an internal issue??? If HE was pissed he would have reported to his superiors. If she was pissed she could file yet another complaint.

HOW IS IT that the press got involved at all?

This is strictly an internal administrative problem. ;-)

But...I suppose it's also likely he goes there so no one can hear the little girls' screams.
