WASHINGTON, April 6 /U.S. Newswire/ -- U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao issued the following statement on the March employment situation released today:

"Today's report of 211,000 new jobs exceeded market forecasts and caps a strong first quarter for America's workers. 590,000 net new jobs were created in the first three months of 2006 and unemployment remains low, declining to 4.7%. So our nation's economy continues on a strong job market trajectory."

5. alternate universe
In what alternate universe is this a good economy? Anyone who's lost their job knows this economy is @ least in a recession, if not a Depression.
