First, they pressure the CIA to issue an intelligence estimate saying that Iraq has WMD. The CIA pulls a CYA and some dissenting opinions are included in the document.

Then, they "selectively" declassify ONLY the bullshit that they got the CIA to put in, and not the dissenting opinions. They then use this to "discredit" Joseph Wilson and "prove" that he is lying.

They even have the nerve to stick to this story now, even though their lies are completely transparent.

This is obviously a conspiracy, and is now completely tied to both Cheney AND Bush. I think this is it for them.

Wait until the next round of indictments (which seem unavoidable) hope Fitz tells the public where the Niger forgeries came from!

I always thought they would get busted and I don't see how they can get out of it now, and this process isn't nearly finished.

If they can be easily shown to have commited multiple felonies a piece, how can they not get rid of Bush/Cheney? I'm sure that it would probably involve a McCain/Powell/whoever switcheroo with Cheney going first, but maybe things are happening too fast for even that to happen.

I know that the Republicans sole existence has been to stick together and maintain the make-believe world they have created, but once that is completely destroyed, it will be every rat for themselves.

Plus, if they try to keep it up they'll just push it past the November elections and the more they continue to deny reality the more obvious it will be to everyone except the seriously delusional, and of course they already have those votes locked up anyway. Democrats will win landslide majorities everywhere on a mandate of "punish the Republicans". Conyers even has the paperwork ready to go for the impeachment of Bush and Cheney.
