Any threads on Cong. Dems' strong response to Leaker-In-Chief revelation? |
|
Today was the day, right? The media is catapulting the propaganda -- telling the public "leaking happens in Washington all the time" (yesterday) and "the information that the President declassified" (instead of calling it "LEAKED") (today).................
So what did House or Senate Democrats do today to call for action on this news that the Mystery Leaker (that Bush said would "no longer work in this Administration" once identified) turns out to be HIM?
It musta been great! Where are the discussions?

....has me almost as pissed/depressed as the 04 election. A vibrant news media in a healthy state would be talking non-stop about impeachment. They would be using words like:LIES. They would be doing stories on the run up to the damn war and all the LIES that "catapulted" from * filthy mouth. I've never been so disgusted with this country.

this story isn't going away. I work in banking, and live in a very conservative part of the Bay Area - lots of "fiscal conservatives", and these people are pissed! They don't mind if you or I or Joe Sixpack in Paducah gets lied to, but when they realize that it's them that has had the wool pulled over their eyes, watch out!

8. It's all bottom line to them. |

And they're pissed that bush and the neocons sold them a bill of goods. They were all for the huge tax cuts, but they didn't expect the even more enormous ramp up in government spending. They know you can't cut taxes and increase spending at the same time. It makes the markets nervous, They look at the charts. All economic indicators have suffered under bush, just as the have during all past repub admins. The exception of course was Carter, but the economic woes we suffered in the late seventies can be directly related to Kissingers manipulation of oil pricing to help the Shah of Iran pay for all of the military hardware we sold to him.
So the non religious, non neocon conservatives know that a democrat administration will right correct the damage that has been brought by bush and the neocons. Again, they are only concerned about profit, and they'll put up with a liberal social agenda, as long as they can profit from it.

redder than a baboons swollen backside: Georgia. Even when I get these morons to admit that bush is a freaking disaster, they always say that Kerry or Gore would of been worse. Makes me want to choke myself with my own hands.

But I think the good news is that those folks are in the minority. There are enough Liberals, progressives and centrist conservatives that are fed up with bush and the neocons to take this country back and begin the rebuilding process.

they let you know who the braindead are, kinda like flashing lights on a pilot car or a "student driver" sign, lets me know who to avoid, lol. BTW, my sister moved out to Georgia a few years back, and she tells me the same things you're saying. I feel for you, but I'm glad to know we've got at least two thinking people out there! Keep the faith.

They'll just abandon bush and vote for the next most corporatist candidate -- probably another repuke or slime like DiFi.

But this time that candidate is going to have to appeal to a much broader group. The neocons were able to swing the religious right over to their side, along with conservatives of all persuasions and centrist dems. The republicans are in such disarray now, I don't think they will have a single unifying them to bring those groups back together.
