Will Republicans Impeach Bush - too funny. |
|
Edited on Sat Apr-08-06 08:24 AM by leftyladyfrommo
That's what a friend of mine said after the Leak Scandal. Can he possibly do any more damage than he already has? Well, yes. His ability to totally fuck up stuff is amazing.
But wouldn't it be great if the Republicans impeached their own President?

1. It's not such a far-fetched idea |
|
the Republicans are gonna have to do SOMETHING... Bush is taking them down with his own failings. Political instinct to survive will trump loyalty to an idiot. It's gonna get interesting.

6. I disagree, with the exception of a few republicans. |
|
They will march in lock step, and never do anything to hurt their party. That's whats wrong with the republican party IMHO, they put party before country.
I heard Delay say the other day at his last news conference say something to the effect, that he loved his party, he would never do anything to hurt his party and so on. He never once mentioned his country, and thats the whole problem with the republican party.
If republican politicians put country before party, Bu$h would have been gone months ago. Hell he may have never been nominated to run for president, he wasn't the best qualified candidate but he was electable if Rove could get Jeb to give him Florida in 2000, and thats what he did.

2. They're not into nihilism . . . |
|
They don't dare acknowledge that the leader of their party is traitor, liar, thief, and war criminal. They fear they'd be thrown out of power for a generation (a la Nixon) if the truth were to be validated by impeachment.
And even if the dems win both houses in November (verrrry unlikely), the appetite for impeachment will be very low -- too much other pressing business to attend to.

with all Republican control. It is a total mess up there.

5. Its already too late for the Republicans! |
|
By the time this is over the party will be dead forever. At the very least, they will have to come up with a new name for it.

4. Definitely NOT OUTTA SIGHT...If them Pubs wanna, they can.... |
|
Bush will be the Sacrifical Lamb/bull/dog/wimp/camel/fish/whatever....
The only way for the Pub Party to demonstrate some lOGIC and COMMON SENSE in order to survive.... is to relieve itself of the Heavy Burden that Bush represents.
The Pub Party will mull over this...
Admit massive Failure and dump Bush .......survive to carry on.....
Not admit and stick with the Loser....and lose elections for Eons....
