Nancy Pelosi, not Hilary Clinton, could be the first woman POTUS |
|
Indulge me here for a minute:
Democrats take back the House and Senate and immediately launch investigations which lead to impeachment hearings-Of both B* AND Cheney AT THE SAME TIME
Knowing the personalities of Cheney and B* do you really think that either one of the would quit during this? Even if Cheney resigned so that ala Gerald Ford the Repugs might have someone to "carry on" IF the democrats control both the house and the Senate the Dems could stall the nomination of the chosen successor.
Bush and Cheney-Impeached,tried and convicted - I give you:
President Nancy Pelosi

2. And I give you...another prime reason to steal the election! |
|
Look, these crooks spent trillions (okay, it was OUR trillions, but that's beside the point) to get where they are. And they didn't do it just to wind up in prison, or worse, from a Republican perspective, to see Nancy Pelosi assume the oval office.
You are absolutely right about the order of succession...but absolutely wrong to think it has a snowball's chance in hell of ever happening.

11. Does anyone have a PLAN to make that happen? |
|
The MSM refuses to even talk about it.
I want us to be our own Media and just like we have bumper stickers, we can have a proud sticker to put on when we leave the voting booth, someone even suggested a barcode of some type. Anyone that wants one can get one in advance.
If no more than to call attention to the problem of voting ~I have talked to intelligent Democrats that still don't believe that Bush messed with the votes.
They can not rap their minds around that happening in the USA.
My PROUD STICKIE would say...
I proudly voted for (KERRY) I want my vote to Count this time!
_____________ my signature and some sort of bar code
and sign my name right there on the spot and stick it on my chest ----big like a name badge!
We need to put these fools on notice that we have some way of getting our own visual tally.
We can wait until the cows come home for them to tell us how many of US voted.
I want our own paper trail.

5. Another thing, I must add... |
|
If a whole bunch of these crooks get indicted in the Abramoff scandal and it completely destroys them all right before the election, you will be saying hello to President Pelosi in 2007.

3. President Pelosi. I like the sound of that. |
|
Also, President pro tempore of the Senate comes after Speaker of the House. That means Robert Byrd would be her Vice President.

15. No, POTUS nominates someone to fill the vacancy |
|
However, until that vacancy is filled, Robert Byrd would basically be de facto VP because he would be first in the line of successon.

methinks there will be resignations and replacements before both of them would be impeached simultaneously.

Has it occurred to you that Gore and Kerry were destroyed...and they won with our votes?
Do you recall what was done to twice-elected William Jefferson Clinton?
It has damn little to do with sex.

25. And what do you think they'd do to a woman? |
|
They'd eat her alive and spit out the bones. This country has too much illiteracy. That's why we still have the death penalty, no national health insurance, and many more things that set us way back. This country is a mental infant.

New Zealand has a female Prime Minister. Helen Clark. She is sadly lacking in looks, her dress sense leaves a lot to be desired and she has no charisma and I doubt if she is wealthy. However, I think she is the best PM New Zealand has ever had. It takes an astute nation to see past the outer skin, to vote for somebody who has the guts to still ban nuclear armed ships from its shores. I don't think Bush likes her very much.

8. I'd love to wake up to such a terrific headline. |
|
And while it seems several steps away, almost no one in the country believed after he landslided George McGovern that Dick Nixon would resign the presidency midway through his second term under threat of certain impeachment.
History holds a lot of cards we just can't see.
I'd feel just fine about a President Pelosi.

Are you saying you don't want both Bush and Cheney impeached?

21. Let's consider someone out side of DC |
|
Just a thought.
Dem women in Congress have had to make a lot of deals and compromises to get where they are. Surviving in DC for a long period of time as a woman (or male) Dem leader can lead to "clouding" of one's judgement and priorities. Any Dem woman from Congress would carry that baggage to the WH.
Better to recruit a woman from outside Washington DC.

23. Repub Crisis Managemt Requires Early Bush/Cheney Resignation |
|
Given the arrogance and belief of invincibility by Bush and Cheney, it is highly unlikely that this scenario would play itself out.
However, if Repubs took their medicine now, before midterm elections --either got Bush and Cheney to resign or be impeached and forced out, then the present Repub Speaker of the House Denny Hastert would rise to the Office of the President to serve out the rest of Bush's term. IF the Repubs allow Bush and Cheney to survive until after the midterm elections and Dem's retake the House, there is a Democratic Speaker to rise to the Office of President for the remainder of the Bush term.
Don't think this scenario has not already crossed the minds of Repubs. Polls show too wide a disparity for the public to actually believe another Republican manipulation of the vote. Repubs also know the breadth and depth of corruption yet to surface.
Repubs are faced with a dilemma .....
