What really pisses me off is how the press has coddled Delay.... |
|
since the prick announced he was not running.
The sack of shit is an indited lying weasel and they treat him like is a retiring football player.
Future felons should be treated like the criminals they are .....not some Hollywood celebrity.

1. I think that white collar corporate criminals should be executed |
|
That would put a stop to a lot of this kind of stuff.

is your press PERIOD. If they were half decent they would have brought the government to account long before the invasion of Iraq. Many of your journalists are equally responsible for the hundreds of thousands of deaths brought on by the Bush administration.

6. If there's ONE thing Americans are good at, it's Marketing... |
|
Edited on Mon Apr-10-06 05:33 AM by BlueCaliDem04
...and the Republicans OWN the best marketing tool ever invented: the media.
Journalists have tried to be as neutral as they can, but with powerful editors looking over their shoulders (and editors being predominently Republican because the press here is "Big Business" which Republicans have successfully taken near full ownership over with the help of Colin Powell's son at the FCC back then) Americans are (still) given right-wing slanted propaganda 24/7.
Thanks to Democratic Vice President, and rightful President-Elect 2000 Al Gore ( who had fought to fund and open up the internet to ALL Americans ), progressives, liberals, and right-swinging Independents (unfortunately, Republicans are lost causes) can get the truth via the internet now, and that's why it's easier for us to spot the lies, and manipulated deceptions they're still trying to brain-wash us with.
It's been hard (ask Greg Palast, and Gore Vidal!) but slowly and surely, Americans outside the minority of the rightwing fold, are waking up, hence Bush's HIGH disapproval numbers that have Republicans scattering away from him like roaches with the lights turned on.
Oh, and don't forget that your Pres, or Prime Minister, Howard, stepped fully to the Bush side regarding the Iraq war, and HE was in the position of power to know better!
IOW, there's enough "blame" to go (globally) around.

8. My Prime Minister is a sniveling, lying nerd |
|
John Howard knew exactly what was going on before he joined the so-called "coalition of the killing". Then when all the chickens started coming home to roost, he said that he was given bad intelligence. I share your frustration with having evil men ruling our countries. Because he now controls both houses of parliament, he is now attempting to change our media rules, naturally to suit himself and his extreme right wing cohorts.
At the moment our journalists can still interrogate our politicians in current affair interview programs. Also, if they are not deserving of respect, they are not given it. Its a shame people are not born more cynical and less gullible.
Please don't think that I blame your country alone for the problems of the world, but it seems that lately most countries are getting right wing governments and it leaves me in despair as to what will happen to mankind.

3. That video of Tweety and DeLay during the commercial break |
|
was absolutely nauseating. Tweety was acting like the high school nerd hanging around the cool jock. So happy he practically spooged.

5. Patience, my friends... |

Give it a couple of weeks, and you'll be hearing Repugs talking about how they 'didn't really have a personal relationship with the man'.
"I think I met him once on the golf course ..."
"We were aquaintances, not really friends ..."
"Tom DeLay? Who is that again?"
Tom DeLay is about to join the ranks of Ken Lay and Jack Abramoff - you know the type, a 'victim' of Republican loyalty-of-convenience.
