For hardcore political junkies, here's a piece on Al Gore you may like. |
|
It's called "The New New Gore" from the current issue of THE AMERICAN PROSPECT: http://www.prospect.org/web/page.ww?section=root&name=ViewPrint&articleId=11299--and it is a well-written and insightful look at the former Vice President, the once and maybe future presidential contender.

3. Hi, BNL. After I'd read the article, I was amazed at how revolutionary |
|
Gore's idea is. I was a Bradley delegate to my state's Democratic Convention, so I've come a long way on Gore. He is sounding VERY presidential.
I'm with you on the movie -- it should get things stirring.

2. I think there are only a few possibilites to save our country left. |
|
One of them would be for the President-elected to assume office.

4. I believe Gore would do right by this country, which would be a |
|
gargantuan improvement over the current inhabitant, president-select Bush.

I have been following him for years. Now I have hope those reading this article will see the same person I have always observed. He is a damn smart guy, and why be ashamed of it?
What a loss for our country this man is not sitting in the Oval Office.

6. Yes. He is a damned smart guy, and godknows we could definitely |
|
USE a smart person in that job these days. And sad to say, we definitely do not have one!
Gore could make it an extremely hard-fought campaign for Senator Clinton. In fact, I would give Al Gore the edge over Senator Clinton.

9. Hi, TayTay. Yes -- the environmental question. I don't know anybody |
|
in Congress who followed that more religiously than Gore.
If he is not the next president, maybe a Democratic president can let him be Sec. of the Interior.
