Are Democrats too harsh on Bush and Cheney ?
Given that Bush, Cheney, and Rove give no quarter to any of their opponents, should Democrats cut them any slack at all? If you were down, either of them would give you an extra kick. They believe political opponents are enemies to be destroyed by whatever means necessary.

Now that they are down - Bush is at about 36% in the polls and Cheney is even lower - do they deserve any sympathy from anyone? Because you would get no sympathy from them if you were in a similar position. They have told the world that they will do whatever the hell they want.

Well, the shoe is on the other foot now. In my opinion, they deserve no sympathy from anyone. They are reaping exactly what they have sown. Are you listening Karla Faye? Are you haunting Dubya in his dreams?

Our natural inclination is to feel sorrow and sympathy for those in dire straits. However, they would never admit they are in such dire straits, because they know more than you do. Their arrogance knows no bounds. I say that we stay on attack until they are all kicked out of our nations Capitol.

1. I don't see Democrats being harsh enough
Too often, the Dems in Congress have been giving in to the Junta without little to no fight.

5. Too harsh?
I'm still waiting for the harsh to start. Is it harsh yet? Do you see any harsh?

The insane messianic idiot is discussing starting a nuclear war with Iran. Where is the harsh?

8. Bush and Cheney are too dangerous to be given any slack
Repubs in Congress continue to prop them up shamelessly and have failed dismally in reining them in by only providing lip service to give the appearance of oversight and accountability. Only strong public disapproval can stop Bush so Dems must lead the way in providing effective criticism grounded in facts.

9. No, kick em when they’re down
Then stomp on their heads and knee em in the neck, then hit em over the head with a 2X4 repeatedly(Figuratively :)). Really, we shouldn’t show them any mercy at all imo.

10. Well, we're pretty harsh on them here at DU
but nationwide, they don't KNOW harsh. It is just beginning. Maybe a little harsh will tone them done, make them realize they are not emperors.

Just taking a warm-up lap since the Democratic Leaders have zero power.

Watch those Diebold Machines because if this November's Election is FAIR ... well. :P

We will THEN be taking action toward Impeachment.

Take no prisoners ---> prosecute all the political criminal leadership! :smoke:

16. I've always wondered if those absurd
Clinton killed Vince Foster stories were pre-emptive rumormongering so that people would automatically dismiss similar stories about the other side which might actually have some basis.

The big difference between the Clinton and Bush bodycounts is that those attributed to Clinton tended to be friends and close associates, while those attributed to Bushco are political enemies and people who exposed unsavory details about the cabal.

15. To hard on Bush and Cheney??????
Personal opinion of course.......are we to hard on Bush and Cheney? Not hard enough!! When you have a President that wants to start another war, when we are in one already, should be kicked in the head. If we impeach Bush, then the real MASTERMIND comes into office. They both need to get out!!
