What does 9/11 have to do with Moussouai? Even the 9/11 report said he was a stooge that KSM thought it better to let him sit in Minnesota rather than his causing a fuss as they tried to pull him out....sorry I got away from the main point...

HE WAS IN JAIL ON 9/11 FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!!!!

He didn't have anything to do with it this is nothing but the Feds claiming to have got "one of them" and MSM carrying their water for them AGAIN.

I understand that some 9/11 families are using this to vent but this isn't about 9/11 this isn't "The 9/11 Trial" HE WAS IN JAIL what this is is proof that W&Co were asleep at the wheel they were already planning the Iraq war and they DID NOTHING to prevent 9/11 that we know that is established fact by those inside the administration, NSA, FBI, CIA and the Pentagon. THIS IS FAILURE SITTING RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR STUPID MEALY MOUTHED FACES MSM!!!

Geesh. Every day I see the reports I shake my head. I think I should use the 6:30 half hour as I did last night--- Go shoot some hoops- it clearly achieves more than watching the newest talking head read the RNC's altered reality and citing "The Bush administration" as a credible source.

HE WAS IN JAIL ON 9/11 FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!!!!

I understand that right after it happened we all were rocked back and needed to figure out what had just happened but this is 4 1/2 YEARS later. They (Bush) still get CREDIT for 9/11??? Think about that-- they get credit for what happened that horrible day --does that make any sense?

3. Yep.
And the more emotion they can pull into this trial the better. All that hate and horror can be directed at this one guy. I hope Bush isn't fooled. There is still plenty of rightfully-placed hate left over for him!

4. ive been saying this to my wife for days.
it is a travesty of injustice and scapegoating to allow all this 9/11 horrorshow at this mans trial.
our government is looking for someone to kill to show how big of men they are and how they 'got' him.

bush failed miserably on 9/11. he should be on trial.

5. I entirely share
your anguish at this. And I have a horrible feeling that we're gonna get a lot of "we solved 9/11" stuff coming from the usual quarters soon.

And on a related point, I simply cannot see the benefit in terms of the pursuit of justice in the jury listening to the harrowing tapes played in court today. I can only read it as a partly political (with a small "p") move and a partly an emotional one. And politics and emotion should not be leading the way in a court of law IMO.

6. Right they can only kill him once
I don't want to get into a death penalty discussion (I am against it).

As soon as it was reported that they had this guy I thought to myself "Well he's dead then" Same with the DC snipers. Dead already.

I don't know why they have to play the tapes either. I understand that we do really need to remember that horrible day (ALL politics aside) but I really don't understand what the screams and the images do other than to bow everyone's heads...oh that is it this is just an effort to cement the "before 9/11" vs. "After 9/11" wedge.

The worst part is that Moussouai is playing this for all he can. That is the real shame here.

it seems extremely imprudent to execute someone now established as a conspirator.
why the hell wouldn't they want to keep him alive so they could get him to help out in "ongoing investigations" (as mclellen likes to say) ?

looking back, wasn't it a mistake to have killed mcveigh because he may've actually had some information germane to 9/11?

these questions are moot since we're talking about the Insane Clown Posse here. They're at best incompetent nd at worst premeditated murderer/embezzlers.

but if this was still the Good Ol' USA of yesteryear...?

10. A Gary Brookins cartoon
I have looked and looked for this. It seems to have been "disappeared".

Right after the USS Cole was attacked and those 17 sialors died the Richmond Times-Dispatch (loony right) Op/Ed page ran a Brookins cartoon with the USS Cole sitting there with the hole in it.....in the hole were written the words "Military readiness" clearly implying that it was Clinton's fault(that was the catchphrase at the time if you remember).

Everyone I talked to and people who knew I was a politics watcher came up to me specifically to tell me how horrible they thought it was.

The ever full of shit H.Ross MacKenzie of the Richmond T-D said "I guess the captain of the deck was on maternity leave"

I'm not kidding about this either.

11. This man is mentally unstable and is being used. If he can be executed
for not telling the FBI something that 'might have', 'could have', or somehow 'warned' the US about 9-11, why aren't those in the current administration also on trial? This is a shameful miscarriage of justice! A sham proceeding.

13. LOL, and where are the confiscated Pentagon tapes?
Edited on Wed Apr-12-06 12:22 PM by Bushknew
The government said they haven’t released these tapes because they were going
to show them at this trial.

Instead, the government is letting the jury hear tape from flight 93?

WHAT WILL BE THEIR EXCUSE NOW FOR NOT RELEASING THE CONFISCATED PENTAGON VIDEO TAPES!!!!!!??????

17. Nevermind his involvement in the attack. The gov't is doing
exactly what this shithead wants. He wants the American gov't to kill him. Why give him that satisfaction and make him a posterchild for up-and-coming terrorists.

He was a minor figure in this whole ordeal, at best. Put him away for however long his crimes permit.
