is anyone as sick of all the AEI forums on cspan as i am? |
|
i feel like this think tank is ALWAYS on cspan, with everyone treating all these now failed ideas and programs so deferentially.
will they still dominate cspan if the dems retake either or both houses?
i just can't take them and their panels anymore
right now on cspan discussing how great NCLB is going and how they're going to go even further with it!
grrr!

I am a retired teacher who is very glad she is retired. They don't seem to understand at all that children are not a commodity they can test and evaluate, pat them on the head, tell them they are fine, and send them on their way.
It just does not work that way. The last few forums I attended before I retired all talked about testing and models and modalities, and whether a national test was best or a state test.
Some tests are necessary, but we can not forget the human factor. I fear we have.

4. You're exaggerating, of course |
|
CSPAN and CSPAN2 do both devote a lot of time to the American Enterprise Institute, but they also give a big chunk of airtime to the Heritage Foundation and representatives of the CATO group! :sarcasm:
I think I saw three separate recent speechs by Karl Rove on CSPAN within the past week.
Compare that to the 11:00p - 12:30a airing of Mark Crispin Miller's speech...

Blahblahblah . . . but that's the beauty of an AEI event - you don't even need to form complete sentences.
I'd rather watch "Lucha Libre".

9. Yes! Ditto for anything with "American Heritage" or a similar name! |

Think tanks, lobbyists, blah blah blah... no wonder people throw up their hands in disgust. Our political world is nothing but a corrupt cluster-f*ck of lies and sleaze. And it has become noticeably worse in the past 6 years.
