5. kind of a meaningless question since I doubt that Bush . . . |
|
Edited on Fri Apr-14-06 02:12 AM by OneBlueSky
makes decisions about much of anything . . .
the correct question should probably be "Do you trust Cheney to make the right decision on Iran?" . . .
the answer, btw, is a resounding "NO!" . . .

From the perspective of the people who put him in office, his decision will be right. From the perspective of Big Oil, his decision will be right. For all the redneck, bible-thumping bigots who think the only good Ayrab is a dead Ayrab, his decision will be right.
If Bush nukes Iran, I think they'll repeal the amendment limiting Presidential terms and reelect him for life.
Or maybe I'm just in a bad mood.

<<If Bush nukes Iran, I think they'll repeal the amendment limiting Presidential terms and reelect him for life.>>
At which point Bill Clinton could run for office again and HE'D be President for life.

Bush will not only make the wrong choice, but the worst possible choice (from the perspectives of the citizens of the U.S. and IRAN, our soldiers and from the perspectives of justice, humanity, life, etc). If there is an even more criminal, immoral, selfish**, malignant choice, we can all trust he, with the help of his advisors, will leave no stone unturned to find and implement it.
**for profit to himself, his family, his friends and his (frequently hidden) wealthy, power hungry 'base' (otherwise known as the Bush Cabal).

sexy flightsuit, hop in a jet fighter, fly straight over there to Eye-ran, target and destroy their nucular weapons capability with surgical strikes so precise that there are zero civilian OR military casualties, then jet back, setting a speed record in the process, do a flyby of the White House where Laura Bush will pop out of a cake, then do a perfect landing at Andrews where he will get out, do a back flip, then yell "I'm going to Disney World!"

It's sadly satisfying to see the "confused puppy dog looks" from these retired General Officer who are calling for Rumsfeld's resignation. As if ... :( When they ACTUALLY could have made a difference, they did not take action, and now, "the good Germans" are caught up in the frenzy.
I fear for The World Community. :scared:
We are now at entrance of *The Gates of Hell* (preping to bomb Iran) ... whether we pass through them or not depends on both "the leaders'" and "the peoples'" courage to stand up to this rouge Executive Branch, "Sir, NO SIR!"
If we as a people ever needed to dig down deep for moral courage, the time is now.

27. Nope. Not at all. 'Trust' is not the word that springs to mind when |
|
these folks' names are mentioned.
I think the various generals speaking up about Rumsfeld would be far more reliable sources than anyone in the current administration, especially the civilian leadership.

This administration has proven to be full of pathological liars. Why should the public trust them about anything? I know *I* certainly don't trust them and I hope those that still do will have their eyes opened.
