1. Hey, if every time we invaded a country for no reason and got
bogged down in an unwinnable war we changed the Secretary of Defense, it would be like a merry-go-round.

:P

3. Yeah, right
Like the administration isn't already a 3-ring circus, complete with freaks, bearded ladies and clowns.

6. The politics
will just overwhelm even him in the coming weeks/months. There is no way he can go on much longer.

He'll then be retired and we'll have the usual scene: photo-op in Oval Office with the Chimp, back-slaps, heckuvajob, maybe a medal etc.

Then, we hear the words: "And the man I have selected to replace Rummy...John Bolton, who did a heckuvajob on, I mean, er...AT the UN".

Nice.

9. O god, Chomp. Bolton as Sec. of Defense. I'm headed out to the
garage right now to drink some battery acid.

Frighteningly plausible scenario you paint.

7. And change the Iraq War policy.
Take this author of the current Iraq War policy out of government, and change the policy.

That's not so hard, is it?

And it would allow us to turn around the ill-fated failure that is going on there now.

Rumsfeld must go because he won't change his Iraq War policy.
Yet, it's a total failure.

8. I bet Uncle Don had a bumpy weekend. I kind of see him going
through the house, kicking furniture and pets and umbrella stands and so forth.

Plus, lots of really blistering language rolling out of his mouth.

Anybody else see it that way? Or is he so nuts he's cool-browed and easy-does-it?
