CA Gov- Westly ahead of Angelides
Steve Westly is also tied with Arnold. Strange because I thought for sure Angelides was going to win easy. I guess we have a race!

1. Westly is running a lot of ads
i see way more of his than Angelides. Westly needs to be called out on his support for the recall and Arnold .

8. arnie is a fucking
hasbeen.

"The most recent Field Poll, released Tuesday, showed Bush with a 32 percent approval rating in California, the lowest of his presidency -- and among the lowest ever recorded by a sitting U.S. president. And another Field Poll released today shows that Schwarzenegger is barely more popular, with an approval rating of 39 percent among Californians."

43%..my :kick:

4. I think Rove is pushing Westly.
Angelides will beat Schwarzenegger. Westly, an Arnold groupie, will be too starstruck to beat him. Team Rove knows this.

5. I think
Angelides needs to stop running ads with people who endorsed him (Boxer) And more on the issues and what he believes in.

7. i agree, also bring his consistency in going after the administration
and at some point bring up Westly's support for recall and Arnold in 2003.

6. Steve Westly will beat Angelides and wipe Arnold off the map.
Get behind Westly. Phil's a great guy and it is probably his "turn", but it is not his "time".

Plus Westly will make a better governor.

11. Rasmussen gives Westly and Angelides both 1% on Arnie
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/2006/State%20Polls/March%202006/California%20Governor%20March.htm
It is obvious that it won't be easy to defeat a celebrity like Arnie, but I think we can do it.

14. Westly's "I went to Stanford" ads are going to kill Democrats chances
against Arnold.

Angelides might have gone to Harvard (did he?), but at least he has the sense to run on standing up for people who didn't go to Stanford or an Ivy League school.

16. I've been trying to find out
what Westly's "policies" are. His website is nothing but information about the "horse race" against Phil Angelides.

I particularly would like to know his view on capital punishment -- that's a deal killer for me if he's just another state murderer...

Anybody know?

Is Westly another shill for the corporations? At least Phil was a developer of low/moderate income housing as far as I know -- not a real corporate jock.

18. I thought Angelides was in the saddle there, too, but if it's Westly
coming up along the inside, well, there he is.

I want the incumbent out.

I like just about any Dem there is on earth better than said incumbent.

We need the Golden State blue again at the governor's mansion.
